These parasites pose serious risks to both pets and humans.
Here are three simple steps to protect you and your four-legged friends.
1. Prevention first! Use pet tick deterrents according to their instructions.
2. Know what ticks look like and regularly check your outdoor pets for them, in particular, if you live in non-urban areas or take your pets on outdoor hikes. Refer to the pictures below or do a Google search for south-east Idaho ticks.
3. Remove.
