Our tireless volunteers have helped us to conduct a broad spay/neuter and vaccination program resulting in healthy more manageable colonies. The results are fewer sick and malnourished kittens giving them a much brighter future.
Our dedicated team is accomplished in educating, supporting and creating community partners. This partnership provides local people the resources that enable them to foster and groom their furry rescued friends.
Winter is always a challenge in Eastern Idaho’s adverse conditions and our colony custodians are our most intrepid and devoted assets collectively distributing over 100 lbs. of cat food per month as well as maintaining usable ice-free water sources and adequate shelter.
PAWS currently helps support 4 feral cat colonies throughout the area totaling over 70 animals. Each site is managed by volunteers who monitor the facilities daily to ensure the safety and well-being of the occupants. All current resident felines have been spayed or neutered through PAWS’ sterilization program in conjunction with Animal Health Clinic of Blackfoot, adhering to our Zero Population Growth policy. New arrivals are promptly trapped and sterilized to ensure the integrity of the project. Our colonies range in size from six to over 20 and are provided with ample food, shelter and accommodation for all residents.
Our success in efforts to support these projects rests entirely upon our generous contributors and public donations. To help assure continuing support by volunteering or donating, or sponsoring one of our cat colonies, please contact us through our the channels below.
Your generosity will be received with sincere gratitude.
